Overview

RenderDoc uses a subscription + credits model:

  • Subscription plans provide a monthly document quota
  • Credit packs let you purchase additional documents for overflow needs

Document Credits

Credit packs allow you to purchase additional documents beyond your monthly subscription quota. Credits never expire and are used after your monthly quota is exhausted.

How Credits Work

  1. Your monthly subscription quota is used first
  2. When monthly quota is exhausted, purchased credits are consumed
  3. Credits never expire - use them whenever you need
  4. Credits always produce clean (non-watermarked) documents

Credit packs are intentionally priced higher per-document than subscription plans. For regular high-volume usage, upgrading your subscription is more cost-effective.


What Counts as a Document?

  • 1 PDF generation = 1 document
  • 1 Excel generation = 1 document
  • Failed generations don't consume quota/credits
  • Preview mode doesn't consume quota/credits

Managing Your Subscription

Upgrade or Downgrade

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Confirm the change

Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Cancel Subscription

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation

Your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period, then downgrade to Free.

Resume Subscription

If you've cancelled, you can resume your subscription before the period ends:

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Resume Subscription

Purchasing Credits

Via Dashboard

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Purchase Credits
  3. Select a credit pack
  4. Complete payment via Lemon Squeezy checkout

Payment Methods

We accept via Lemon Squeezy (our payment provider):

  • Credit/Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • PayPal
  • And other regional payment methods

Viewing Your Usage

Navigate to SettingsBilling to see:

  • Current Plan: Your subscription tier
  • Monthly Quota: Documents remaining this month
  • Credit Balance: Purchased credits remaining
  • Usage History: Document generation over time

Invoices

View and download all invoices:

  • Invoice number and date
  • Amount charged
  • Plan or credits purchased
  • Download PDF

Access invoices at SettingsBillingInvoices.


Usage Alerts

Set up alerts to monitor your usage:

  • 80% quota warning: When you've used 80% of monthly quota
  • 90% quota warning: When you've used 90% of monthly quota
  • Quota exhausted: When monthly quota is depleted

Configure alerts in SettingsNotifications.


Common Questions

Do credits expire?

No! Purchased document credits never expire. Use them whenever you need.

What happens if I run out of quota?

When your monthly quota is exhausted:

  1. Purchased credits are used automatically
  2. If no credits remain, document generation pauses
  3. You can purchase more credits or wait for the monthly reset

What happens to unused monthly quota?

Monthly quota does not roll over. It resets at the start of each billing cycle.

Can I get a refund?

Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime but are non-refundable for the current period. Credit purchases are final. See our Refund Policy for full details.

Are documents watermarked?

  • Free plan: Documents from free quota are watermarked
  • Paid plans: No watermark
  • Purchased credits: Always watermark-free (even on Free plan)
