The Dashboard is your central hub for monitoring document generation activity, tracking performance metrics, and accessing key features of the RenderDoc platform.
Overview
When you log into RenderDoc, the Dashboard provides a real-time overview of your document operations, with interactive charts, statistics, and quick action buttons.
Dashboard Sections
Statistics Cards
The top of the dashboard displays key metrics:
Total Documents Generated
- What it shows: Total number of documents generated in the selected time period
- Trend indicator: Green arrow (↑) for increase, red arrow (↓) for decrease compared to previous period
- Click action: View detailed document logs
Success Rate
- What it shows: Percentage of successfully generated documents
- Formula:
(Successful Documents / Total Attempted) × 100 - Ideal rate: 98%+ indicates healthy operations
- Click action: View generation analytics
Templates Used
- What it shows: Number of unique templates used in the period
- Includes: Both PDF and Excel templates
- Click action: Navigate to Templates page
Dashboard Widgets
Quota Widget
- What it shows: Your subscription quota progress and premium credit balance
- Warning indicators: Shows alert if running low on credits
Success Rate Card
- What it shows: Current success rate with trend vs previous period
- Health indicator: Quick visual status of operational health
Recent Failures Card
- What it shows: Most recent failed document generations
- Details: Error categories and quick links to investigate
Document Volume Chart
Interactive line chart showing document generation activity over the last 30 days.
Two data series:
- Generated (Green line): Successfully generated documents
- Failed (Red line): Failed generations
Features:
- Hover over any point to see exact numbers
- Click legend items to show/hide data series
- Automatically updates every 30 seconds
Use cases:
- Identify generation patterns
- Spot issues
- Track growth trends
- Compare different time periods
Template Usage Chart
Bar chart displaying your top 10 most-used templates.
Shows:
- Template name on X-axis
- Number of times used on Y-axis
- Color-coded bars for visual distinction
Use cases:
- Identify popular templates
- Find templates that need optimization
- Track template adoption
- Plan template retirement
Recent Activity Feed
Timeline of the last 10 activities across your account.
Activity types:
- Document Generated - New document generated via API or dashboard
- Template Created - New template published
- Template Updated - Existing template modified
- API Key Generated - New API key created
- Team Member Joined - New member added to team
Information displayed:
- Activity icon and type
- Brief description
- Timestamp (relative, e.g., "2 hours ago")
- Related user (if applicable)
Time Period Selector
Location: Top-right, next to Quick Actions
Options:
- Last 24 hours
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days (default)
- Last 90 days
- Custom date range

- Statistics cards
- Document volume chart
- Template usage chart
- Activity feed
Dashboard Best Practices
Monitor Success Rate
- Target: Keep above 98%
- If below 95%: Check for template issues or missing variables
- Action: Review Document Logs for failure patterns
Watch for Spikes
- Sudden increase: May indicate API misconfiguration or loop
- Sudden decrease: Could signal integration issues
- Action: Investigate via Activity Feed
Review Active Templates
- Too many: Consider archiving unused templates
- Too few: May need to create more templates
- Action: Audit template usage quarterly
Monitor Credits
- Running low: Purchase more credits before running out
- Projection: Check wallet analytics for depletion estimates
- Action: Review billing page for credit balance

How often does the dashboard refresh?
- Automatic refresh: Every 30 seconds
- Manual refresh: Click the refresh icon ( ↻) next to time period selector
- Charts: Real-time updates as data changes
Can I export analytics data?
Yes! Navigate to the Analytics page to export detailed reports in:
- CSV format for statistics
- JSON format for raw data
- Excel format with multiple sheets
- PDF format for professional reports
